The Stepping Stone provides day programming for adolescents and adults with special needs. The Stepping Stone offers persons with disabilities a safe and nurturing environment in which to learn, grow and have fun. The foundation of the programming will include life skills training enabling the participant to become as independent as possible in their home and community.
The Day Program at The Stepping Stone includes:
- Arts & Crafts
- Computer Training
- Music Appreciation
- Sports, Recreation and Leisure
- Activities of Daily Living
- Life Skills Training
- Language Skills Training
- Academic Fundamentals
- Horticultural Basics
- Community Excursions
Day programming available:
- Monday to Friday
- 8:30 am to 4:30 pm
- Excludes all Statutory Holidays
Before and after care available:
- Monday to Friday
- 7:30 – 8:30 am and from 2:30 – 5:30 pm
Enrolment Details
Full Time Enrolment:
Full time status is defined as 5 days per week. For part time status, a minimum of 2 days per week enrolment is required. Part time clients can enroll for 2, 3, or 4 days per week. The days of the week chosen for enrolment must remain consistent week to week.
Part time Enrolment:
A minimum of 2 days per week enrolment is required. Part time clients can enroll for 2, 3, or 4 days per week. The days of the week chosen for enrolment must remain consistent week to week.
Before and After Care
Before and after care is available from 7:30 – 9:00 am and from 3:00 – 6:00 pm daily. To access this service please complete a Before and After Care Program application form.
